:: CPF Cuts - The Aftermath

Well it's finally here! After hearing about it briefly and having the government play it down shortly afterwards, the CPF cuts are finally in force. So how are we reacting to it? Exactly as expected... Life moves on... Singaporeans are just taking it, and coping as best we can in our own way. Does this mean that we agree with the governments actions? I believe not, but we're used to it so what can I say. Resignation... That's the best term I can put to this. We've once again been stuck in a situation where the ability for control eludes us. With all the show and fanfare about our voting in a government, it's suprising how much voice we have. None... More propoganda??? I recently heard that not as many people as expected decided to take up the assistance programs put in place to help families that will have problems with their HDB loans. Not surprising though, since the program seems to put us nither here or there and in fact costs more in the longer run. Personally I'd suck it in myself rather that subscribe to this alternate form of blood sucking. Final word??? Disappointed, resigned, disillusioned, negative, doubtful, questioning.... Take your pick. I'm still waiting to see the benefits of this come about in forms that benefit the general population and not the shareholders of these companies. Blah!!!
